People's Rights

What right do people have to take something that is not theirs? I feel they have no right. Stealing is stealing no matter how big or small the item is. Maybe some people feel they have the right to do this because it previously happened to them, but that still does not make it right to do it to someone else. They should just realize how they felt when this happened to them and use that as a guideline to not do it to anyone else.

No i do not feel it is right to take away someone elses' house if they did not know it was on stolen property. I feel if you do not know something you should not be held accountable for it. Yes, the people could have been a little more careful in finding out the history behind their land before they bought it and they maybe should have to pay the amount of the land to the person it was stolen from but their house should not be destroyed because of someone elses' mistakes. This would be wrong to do because more than likely a person invested time and money into their house and that is their only home. it would be very devastating to see it demolished and on top of that the person would be homeless.

Interior Evaluation

Why do people risk their own lives for others? I have a hypothesis for that. My hypothesis is that people do this because they have a certain kindness in their hearts that allows them to not be selfish and care about the lives of others just as much or even more than their own. A great example of this is the shooting that happened recently in Connecticut at a school full of children no older than 6 years old. When i was that young things like that never happened to out generation. The shooter came into a particular classroom where the teacher had the students hiding and asked where they were and he asked where the students were. The teacher said the students were in the gymnasium and he shot the teacher point blank without a second thought and went to the gymnasium. This is an example because the teacher showed such an act of selflessness by lying for the students so they could survive. the teacher i feel is smart enough to know that an encounter with such a sadistic person would lead to something bad. He gave up his life to let the future generation live.

Another great question is why do people value their lives over the lives of others? I have a hypothesis about this also. I feel this is because people are afraid of death . They can eliminate this fear by trying to live as long a s possible. How do you do this? By putting their lives before others. This may be seen as selfishness to others but i view it as fear. An extreme example of this is with Osama Bin Laden and his wife. When the U.S troops came to defeat him and kill him he used his wife as a human shield so he could keep living. It did not work as he thought it would but it still proves as a great example. If he would have not been afraid of death and did not value his life above others he would have just been killed and let people live instead of taking them with him.

Divine Acquaintance

If I could meet anyone in the past or present who would it be? That is a great question. My ideal person to meet would be Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This is because I would like to get into his mind a little bit and see was going on in there during the times where blacks were widely hated among everyone and get insight to how painful his struggles for equality actually were. I would take him to every type of public place that was previously segregated like parks, restroom facilities, drinking fountains, restaurants bussing systems and even schools. I would tell him that because of him and so many other struggling Americans we now have non-segregated places and that we do not have to have poor colleges. I would also tell him that his struggles along with so many others actually helped America become more equal and the way it is today and that his death was not in vain. This would help me better appreciate what I have today because it would help me understand better what people had to go thought to get America the way it is.

My Break

This break was very interesting for me. Although I asked my aunt not to buy me anything distracting for Christmas she decided to buy my brother and I a brand new Play Station 3 and it came with a game called Black Ops 2. I was totally convinced i was going to be able to avoid getting distracted from certain things. That is when i discovered a sub part of the game called Zombies. In this part of the game you try and survive levels while waves of zombies attack your location. My brother got tired of playing this game because i wanted to play it so much and he never wanted to play it with me.We started to play the other modes of the game that were far less interesting to me than the section. This is when my cousin Cydney came over and because she had never played Zombies before we decided to play for an hour or so. An hour soon turned into about 10 hours and we did not even notice the time flying by.
